Short development cycle patch following GDC. Introduces a new secret dungeon, additional runewords, expanded Puzzle Box crafting recipes, multiplayer improvements, and various gameplay and UI fixes.

Warning

Single-player save versioning is not yet implemented. Offline single-player world state will not carry over after the patch. Finish any game in progress before patching.

🎮 Gameplay (3)

  • Renamed "Normal" difficulty to "Veteran"
  • Added system allowing units to be buried and unburied
  • Necropolis waystones are buried when taken by shadow and can be dug up to reactivate

🎒 Items (6)

  • Increased prevalence of sockets and unique sockets
  • Pickaxe regular attack is now distinct from dig (regular attack only destroys terrain in front)
  • Vendors now restock every 4 hours instead of once per day
  • Char Root and Sizzle Bough now drop Flame Hearts instead of Nature Hearts
  • Assigned abilities to Goke and Endless Boss hearts
  • Fixed an issue where items on the ground could randomly be destroyed

  • Added a new secret dungeon known as the "Shark Level"

👹 Mobs / AI (3)

  • Endless bosses now have their own quality tier equivalent to unique
  • Renamed several endless bosses
  • Adjusted size and speed of the Gulpjaw boss

🐛 Bug Fixes (1)

  • Fixed issue where a unit's simulation position could appear under terrain while moving

📝 Singleplayer (6)

  • Added character and world selection UI
  • Players can now create and manage multiple characters and worlds
  • Single-player characters can now enter new or existing worlds
  • The last world used by a character is highlighted in the UI
  • The most recent single-player character should be automatically converted to the new system
  • Single-player worlds created before the patch will not carry over

📝 Multiplayer (4)

  • Private worlds can now be manually deleted if no active players are present
  • Improved reconnection protocol for dropped connections
  • Fixed issues progressing the Necropolis quest in multiplayer
  • Synchronization errors now generate diagnostic data in the Logs folder

📝 Ui Controls (6)

  • World name is now prepopulated with a randomly generated name
  • Call to Action UI can now be closed with the controller back button
  • Improved camera auto-movement detection when the player is blocked
  • Controller improvements to item pickup logic
  • Improved weapon set switching with controller
  • Added controller support for Puzzle Box interaction
